Orange Middle East and Africa has signed a multi-year agreement to distribute ReelShort's short-form drama, romance, and thriller series via its Max it TV service across 17 markets.
Four countries are scheduled to launch by the end of 2026, with others following. The initial markets and pricing have not been announced. Orange operates in 17 African countries, including Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia, all potential markets for the rollout.
ReelShort, operated by California-based Crazy Maple Studio, is the leading microdrama platform outside China, with an estimated 29% market share and projected 2026 revenue of $1.05 billion.
Orange's "Max it" platform reports 39 million users, giving ReelShort an established mobile distribution network. The agreement covers international catalogue distribution; plans for African productions or local commissioning have not been announced.
